It was my priveledge not only to work with David but to count him as a friend too. We worked together to set up Housing Link to help people with mental health difficulties protect their homes and then later he recruited me to work with him to research how homeless services supported patients leaving hospital.

He was an incredibly chilled, warm, funny and amiable manager and friend and this generated much loyalty.

i joined him for his poetry readings and can recall we bumped into each other at Wiltons to celebrate the battle of Cable St. My fondest memory was simply supping ale in The Pride of Spitalfields and having silly conversations like what would life be like in Sulawesi.

Greatly missed.
